Monad is an early-stage, venture-backed tech startup with a vision to accelerate the revolutionary power of decentralized apps by offering a world-class decentralized computing platform.
The developer and user community that has grown around Monad led to them contact us to help create a symbol that would be simple and universal— something to connect their community.
The term monad is used in some cosmic philosophy and cosmogony to refer to a most basic or original substance. As originally conceived by the Pythagoreans, the Monad is the Supreme Being, divinity or the totality of all things.
The monad is symbolized by a small dot with a circle around it, similar to a planet orbiting the sun. We developed a simple symbol logo that reflects this motif. One of several expressions we developed for the brand utilizes repeating, layered "bands" of the symbol shape to symbolize speed and scalability.
